Night buses are available on weekends, ensuring 24-hour public transport coverage.

Albert Park, the location of the F1 Australian Grand Prix, is well-served by public transport. Here are the best ways to get there:
Trains
Take a train to Southern Cross Station (4 kilometres from the circuit, ideal for Gates 1, 2, and 3) or Flinders Street Station (4,5 kilometres from the circuit, ideal for Gates 5, 8, 9, and 10). From there, you can switch to a tram.
Trams (best choice)
During the Grand Prix weekend, special shuttle trams may be provided to accommodate the increased number of passengers. Note that you can travel the tram for free if you are an F1 ticket holder.
There are more than 10 tram stops in the vicinity of the racetrack, perfectly connecting you to the rest of the city. Of course, be aware that especially after the race, the trams can be very busy.
In 2024, Yarra Trams (tram operator in Melbourne) increased its services by more than 4,800, including a frequent shuttle service between Southern Cross, Flinders Street, and Albert Park stations.
