We have some practical tips to ensure you don't have any worries or concerns during the race weekend and can focus on what's happening on the track.
Food and beverage vendors prioritise providing fans with a diverse array of international and local culinary delights, ensuring there's something to satisfy every palate.
Please note that alcohol is sold within public areas at the circuit. Don't forget that you are not allowed to take your food or drink on the circuit (except baby food and medically necessary items). Smoking is only permitted within the dedicated smoking areas.
Please note that the payment can be made mostly by credit card.
Before you head out to the circuit, make sure you have all the information you need saved on your phone; from tickets to maps and information about your favourite driver. There is a risk that the mobile networks may be overloaded at the circuit and you may not have a data connection, especially on Sundays. So, you may not be able to call your friends. If you want to meet anyone on Sunday, always arrange a time and place to meet beforehand. just like in the old days when there were no mobile phones.
Don't forget that motorsport is very noisy. While the noise is tolerable in the normal stands, make sure you wear earplugs if you're closer to the track. If you're travelling with children, make sure they have ear protectors.
Traditionally, F1 races in Melbourne are held in mid-March.
In mid-March, Melbourne experiences mild to warm temperatures, with daytime highs around 20-25°C (68-77°F) and nighttime lows between 10-15°C (50-59°F). The weather is generally sunny with a mix of clear and partly cloudy days. Occasional showers are possible, as March receives about 40-50 mm of rainfall. Humidity levels are relatively low, making the conditions comfortable. It's advisable to dress in layers and carry a light jacket or umbrella due to the variable temperatures and potential rain.
If you want up-to-date weather information, we recommend using the Windy app.
